Meet the meadow birds by biologist and nature painter Elwin van der Kolk who is fascinated by nature around him at a young age. He spent a large part of his youth with bird watching and drawing birds.
Now he does exactly the same, although his colored pencils were traded in for acrylic paint and brushes. In the meantime, he can call himself one of the most famous bird markers in the Netherlands and makes illustrations for countless publications of, among others, Bird Protection, Sovon and KNNV publisher.
Elwin has been Signature Member of the Society of Animal Artists since 2016.
He also exhibited for several years at the prestigious American exhibition Birds in Art.
